Prep For TY night and Bambeauty makes a return

So for the past few weeks we have been learning and practicing a dance routine to perform on TY night in front of our parents. At first I wasn't sure how it was going to work as I was afraid people wouldn't take part or put in any effort. Thankfully this isn't the case and even those of who don't dance are giving it a go. It's really coming along and I'm really excited to perform it on the night. Dancing is not the only thing we have to do for TY night, we have all these projects firing at us from all the subjects. I've just finished one for English in scrapbook form, I did my project on '1920's The American Dream'. I enjoyed researching and putting this project together, 1920's America was a magical time where anything could happen and everything is possible. I also am currently doing a project in history on a person of my choice. I chose a relative of mine who was the secretary to Woodrow Wilson during his years as President in America. I'm enjoying uncovering my own ancestors history and I look forward to showing my Granny what I found as she was the one who told me about him. I also have a music project to do on a genre of music, I've chosen Indie. I also have a Geography project to do on a natural disaster, I'm doing mine on Haiti. So I will be quite busy over the next week or so. Today Bambeauty got invited to join all other business's in 'Celbridge Enterprise Town' exhibition in the Celbridge Manor Hotel.

St. Patricks Day and Solar Eclipse

On Tuesday the 17th of march it was St. Patricks day. I along with many others celebrated the day by watching the the Dublin parade.... on tv. Tourism Ireland had famous landmarks across the world turned green to promote Ireland abroad on St. Patricks Day.
Niagra Falls
 Pyramid and Spinx
Pyramid and Sphinx

The Leaning Tower of Pisa
Gorky Park Gate
The Armadillo

 The Temple of Hercules
The Temple Hercules

The Eye Film Institute

Anfield Stadium
The Burj al Arab
Las Vegas Sign

Salamanca Hall

What other Country in the world can do this? Have countries willingly turning their famous landmarks green to celebrate our festival? our holiday? Have towns all around the world host a St. Patricks day parade?

Ireland was experiencing a partial solar eclipse this morning, although clouds have covered the sky so it's not very visible in most parts of the country. It is said that it is most visible at the Blackrock Castle Observatory in Cork city. It is not reccommended to look directly at the eclipse as it can cause eye damage and blindness. The last solar eclipse happened 16 years ago and the next is expected in 2026. If you want to view the eclipse is by using special eclipse glasses, or a pinhole projector.

Bam Beauty takes to the stand

Sorry about the lack of posts I have been quite busy recently and keep missing my IT class. Last Friday I was very busy, I had SciFest that morning and then later on that day I went to Wesley college along with the other members of our schools choir to compete there. We have been working on this particular piece since the beginning of the year and I have to say I am so proud of the performance we delivered on Friday. We sung the popular song written by Gary Barlow 'Rule The World'. I really enjoyed singing this piece as it is such an incredible song and very uplifting and if I dare admit it was my ringtone for a while when it first came out and I heard it played in the film Stardust. If you haven't seen Stardust I really recommend you do, its a remarkable film that features romance, magic, fantasy and comedy. We did not place, but with the remarkable score of 85 I cannot be happier with the performance and I really enjoyed listening to the other schools preform.

On Tuesday, Bam Beauty got to partake in the County Final in the glamorous Killashee House Hotel. What an experience this was. I am so grateful to have gotten through to the County Final competing alongside the best in the county! It was such an honor. I am so proud of the other members of my group. I was amazed by the standard of all the other groups. Mini Company isn't easy. It requires a lot of time and dedication, but it was worth it. Here is a pic of our stand on the day!
I wish GiftGrow the best of luck in the National Final, a win that was truly deserved. I congratulate all the groups who won an award, including a group from our school who won the award for 'Best Innovative Idea' for their product 'iprotect' Well done girls!
I admit I was never a great believer in TY, it has had its ups and downs, but now looking back, I have learnt so much this year, about myself and the woman I'm becoming. This may not sound like much of an achievement, but to me it is.

My dream Castle

In this post I am going to share with you somewhere I'd like to visit when I leave school. Of course I can't just think of the one. I would love to revisit America as I have only really been to Orlando. Orlando was AMAZING. I spent most of my days in Universal Studios. If you aren't sure where you want to go I really recommend visiting this place. Here is some photos of my trip.
Minions!
Shmore time
Simpson Land
Universal Halloween Horror Night
Harry Potter!
I would really love to visit most countries, travel the world. I love travelling and I love exploring. I know loads of people in the world share this ambition but how many have actually fulfilled it?
